On Sunday 25th August 2002 the Bowling club held its annual Open Triples tournament which attracted 48 triples. A great day was had by all and the weather was very kind.

The competition started at 0900hrs and concluded at 2130hrs and as a result the final was played under floodlights. The final was won by a team from Gordon Bowling Club and the runners-up were from Lauder Bowling Club.
