25/04/09 Lauder Bowling Club opened for the 2009 season in glorious conditions today. President Ross Nichol welcomed everybody and wished them well for the forthcoming season. He followed up by making a small presentation to Oliver Scott to mark his Honourary Membership and thanked hom for all his hard work over the years. The President then asked the Lady President Mrs. Jean Ker to throw the first jack and officially open the green. The now traditional President v Vice President game followed with a full green of 48 players taking part resulting in a narrow win for the President!!!! All monies raised form entry fees,football cards and the kitchen were donated to the R.N.L.I. resulting in a donation of just over Ł200 on the day. The usual Gents & Ladies nominations rounded of an enjoyable afternoons bowling and start to the 2009 season.

30/05/09 Today the now regular event took place in "Tropical" conditions with 16 teams competeing in a round robin format. Some regular bowlers were required to fill up some of the Sponsors teams with each team playing 3 games in their relative sections to determine an outright to progress to the semi-finals. After some great bowling yeams representing Midway Construction,D. Waldie,B.Steele and J. Gerrard progressed through Midway defeated D. Waldie in one semi and it took J.Gerrard an extra end to see off B. Steele in the other. J. Gerrard then defeated Midway in the final on what was another successful day for the club.
