16th April 2001 - Opening Day

The club was opened for the season today and a nearly full rink participated in the annual President v Vice-President match.The match was played in the usual great spirit and the weather was kind albeit a bit chilly and the final score was President 64 - Vice-President 40. A collection was made for The Guide Dogs and the sum of Ł232.85 was achieved.

BEST WISHES must got to the ladies rink of Mrs M. Ogilvie, Mrs A. Ogilvie, Mrs F. Nichol & Mrs M.A. Scott and also to Billy Nisbet who are all playing in the Border Area final qualifier for the Scottish Finals at Ayr which is taking place at Melrose B.C. on Sunday 12th June at 2.30pm.
The ladies are playing a rink from Berwick B.C. and Billy is playing Derek Pearce from St. Ronans B.C. in the Gents Singles.
Good Luck to all of them.

Congratulations must go to Billy Nisbet for his win at the Border Final Qualifier at Melrose yesterday over Derek Pearce so Good Luck at Ayr.
Commiserations must go the the Ladies Rink of Mrs M. Ogilvie,Mrs A. Ogilvie, Mrs F. Nichol and Mrs M.A, Scott who unfortunately lost out in the final to the Berwick Rink.

27th July 2011
Billy started his Scottish Finals today with a win over Colin Martin from Dunfermline West End B.C. by 21-14. His next game is on Friday 29th at 11.30.
I shall try and keep it updated as he progresses

Today Billy plays John McCabe from West Netheron B.C. in the 2nd round (last 16) at 11.30

29th July 2011 Commiserations must go to Billy who was defeated in the 2nd round today 21-8
